Dr. Hoang is a Research Associate in the Department of Physical & Environmental Sciences at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She earned bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Science at Vietnam National University, Hanoi, an M.S. in Environmental Science, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Okayama University, Japan. Her previous interests focused on composting, soil restoration, and training on climate change. Her dissertation examined the dynamics of Nitrogen derived from organic fertilizers in a soil-plant system and evaluated their potential to contaminate the groundwater. The project also developed and published a best practice for composting coffee husks in Central Highland, Vietnam. Besides research, she has more than 2 years of experience developing training programs on climate change. Her current interest is microplastics in the environment.
